Students and tutors are using such current technology as computers, i-pods, and videos daily.  It is important to incorporate this technology into our tutor training and peer-tutoring, and who is better at knowing how to this then the tutors?  This session is designed to provide those training tutors  with new ideas to engage their tutors to incorporate their creative talents and knowledge of technology to enhance tutor training and peer-tutoring as well as a sharing of what participants are doing within their programs.

As Tutor Administrator I was presenting weekly tutor training sessions using PowerPoint, some hands-on activities and handouts.  After a semster I realized my tutors were beginning to incorporate more and more technology into their daily lives as well as their tutoring. At the end of the semester I encouraged the tutors to become involved in creating tutor training sessions for the following semester using their knowledge of technology to enhance our training. The tutors' accomplishmets were incredible.

Third, this session will introduce TurningPoint audience response system which integrates  into Microsoft¨ PowerPoint¨ and allows tutors, or other audiences, to participate in presentations or lectures by submitting responses to interactive questions using a ResponseCard¨ keypad. With the use of TurningPoint audience response system, the PowerPoint presentations can also collects data immediately from the audience responses.

Handouts will be given to participants which include an explination of the making of the video, all content specific websites, and information on TurningPoint.
