Session_summary:
With
the advent of Web 2.0 tools, such as wikis, comes an emerging philosophy. The new thrust is to create
interactivity, collaboration, and customization in the use of the Web. Colleges
are still exploring the multiple uses of these tools. One Boston College
professor uses a wiki for his classroom textbook as well as building a test
bank of questions that the students submit.
This
presentation will set the framework for the discussion of wikis and web 2.0
tools in the context of college
learning. The presentation will combine both theory and practice in a creative
demonstration of building a wiki, which can be used throughout the conference
and beyond.
